Adaptex provides your organisation with a clear understanding of how to improve change management.

A simple web-based questionnaire gathers opinions from a representative  group of your staff. The results are collated and presented to your management team. Issues are highlighted and an understanding of how to improve your organisation’s adaptability is presented.

Revealing alignment or gaps in perception within your organisation enables you to managing these previously unknowns. You not only gauge the extent to which there might be misalignment but can determine which of the four areas tested have the most need or would have the most significant impact on your change programme

Step 1

Our specialist consultant gets to know your organisation’s change needs, explains the Adaptex process and helps you to select the most appropriate group of staff to analyse by level, function and location.

Step 2

Staff answer a series of pivotal questions on our web-based questionnaire (a paper-based alternative can be offered for staff with restricted or no access to the web). The responses are collated and assessed against the four
key elements of Sensors and Drivers, Leadership, Enablers and Results Management.

Each element is calculated separately across different levels, functions and locations within your organisation; allowing you to assess the alignment (i.e. how close the fit is between perceptions and management vision,) at individual, team and department level.

For example you could research the finance department at a particular site, the corporate HR team or the middle managers across the whole organisation.

Using the scale (Not Aware, Unimportant, Reacts, Anticipates, Influences or No Idea) provided, rate your organisation’s current level of awareness of the following:

Existing customer needs- denotes your organisation’s awareness of the needs of customers, whether you seek regular feedback and carry out surveys.
Potential customer needs- denotes your organisation’s awareness of what potential customers want, whether you are in touch with changing customer needs
Lost customers- whether your organisation is aware of issues raised by customers who no longer buy/access your products or services.
Current/past customer satisfaction- how aware is your organisation of customers’ satisfaction- is it measured and reviewed?
Suppliers’ needs and requirements- is your organisation aware of what suppliers think of dealing with you, what do they need from you in order to maintain a cost-effective service.
Distribution channels-how aware is your organisation of the partners and potential channels to help you get your products and services to the customers .

Step 3

Using profile charts the Consultant discusses and interprets the Adaptex results with your management team; highlighting key gaps and areas for concern and giving an overall picture of how adaptable your organisation is shown to be. You will also receive a formal report on the Adaptex outcomes.

Feedback of the results helps to create a dialogue with staff to explore, identify and agree what they need to do differently. Facilitated discussions with teams help to build consensus and enable individuals to refocus where required.

The Adaptex analysis provides the springboard for your organisation to improve its resilience and its approach to embracing change in the future.

Typically, it takes 6 weeks to complete all three steps.
